Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there is a faster/more efficient way to replace images in a project.

So, my actual technique is the following.
I download a bunch of images that i rename image_1.jpg, image_2.jpg

Then I drag them in to the images folder that has same named images. So in other words, i just replace the source footage, then it refresh and i see now the new images.

Is there a way that i can just drag and drop the new images into a folder in after effects, and it uses thoses images instead? Without replacing or renaming the new images.??!

Here's a workaround:

Basically, you could create a precomp that holds your image sequence. Use the precomp with freeze frames elsewhere in your project to get at the images. You can change out the images in your precomp and it will flow through your project.
