Newbie question.

Okay set up: camera parented to null, cam focus distance pickwhip'd to cam position.

I was under the impression that with this set up everything would stay in focus, however when I zoom in (with null z-position) my asset goes out of focus.

Now am I correct in thinking that I just have to keyframe the blur in the camera properties from 100 to 0?

Just wondering if there's another way so I don't have to keep keyframing the blur.

Depending on the effect you are going for you can actually link the Focus Distance to a specific asset. So if you never want that object to go out of focus you would select the layer and the camera, right-click on the camera layer, select Camera... from the flyout menu, then select Link Focus Distance to Layer.

Thanks for the reply. I'm using a single-node camera and this option isn't available unfortunately. I've gone with keyframing the blur, looks better than I thought.
