I'm creating a video that's a bit of a parody of the 1996 version of Mission Impossible.

Here's a link to the trailer:

I want to create titles like the ones seen in the following places:

TOM CRUISE - 0:37
EXPECT - 1:29
THE - 1:30
IMPOSSIBLE - 1:32
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE - 1:51

In each title, a fuse runs through the title and leaves a glowing trail behind it. In the final title, the text blows up.

Thus far, I've managed to get a 3d title created, and successfully flown a camera through the text. One of my bigger hurdles has been creating the look of the fuse going through the gap in the text. I found a stock fuse flame, but it doesn't have a trail, and I don't really like the way it looks.

Tips, thoughts? Maybe some ambitious helper out there would like to create a tutorial as a little challenge.

Thanks!

Tim
