I have no idea but my video renders are coming like this:

screenshot2016-04-13at3.36.40am.png

I tried all sort of image sequences and only mov format for videos.
My AME is troubleshooting so mov is the only video format I can export.
The odd is that when I export single frames, it's all good.
If it's a video or image sequence, it comes like this.
I can't find anything similar on the internet.

My configs

Optical flares 1.2.134
After Effects CC 2014

Thanks

Unless it is a hardware issue, it looks like you're losing the alpha transparency of the effect on render. Did you try setting Optical Flares to render on transparent? Or can you render with a black background?

When I render using "on black" it works, but I can't manage to get the same results

In most cases it is advisable to use "render on black" and set the flare layer transfer mode to either Screen or Add. Looks more realistic that way than using "render on transparent" and Normal mode.

I don't think you can render with an alpha channel in any case in mov format. Are you trying to render this with a transparent background for importing into an editing program?

I have a bunch of layers and colors mixed, the option "on transparent" resulted in the most satisfying look.
I tried to create a black solid behind everything to avoid the transparency but the render remains the same.
I will not import in any editing program.
I guess my solution is to use the option "on black" and try to achieve the same result.

The funny thing is that for a client preview I recorded my screen playing the composition and then cropped. Lol.

Well, I guess this video explains it all...

https://library.creativecow.net/articles/rollason_ben/lens-flare/video-tuto...

Apparently I should use "pre-multiplied" instead of "straight" on render settings.
The exact reason I still don't know, I haven't watched the video entirely yet, but changing this settings made the whole difference.
