I have studied for 3 years at a respectable design university, in which i have learned a wide variety of skills; unfortunately because of the well-thought, yet too vast arrange of topics, i didn't have a chance to acquire some basic knowledge which is very much needed in my workflow.
I am a Motion Designer, i have explored after effects for about 6 years and became quite comfortable with it, as shown in my latest client work: https://vimeo.com/139366732.
Now that i'm starting to enter in the business landscape i really need to learn these skills:
- Handling Shape Layers (to make frame by frame complex transformations, like liquid drops ecc...)
- Using the puppet tool proficiently (Basics, Rigs, Inverse kinematics, Duik Tools, Character Animation)
- Proper use of Cameras
And regarding design in general:
- Typography (learn to work with fonts, recognise bad fonts, kerning, choose the right fonts)
I can't afford classes and such, but i'm up for investing for my learning experience, and i accept every possible medium available (written tutorials, Books, Youtube/Vimeo tutorials, purchasable video tutorials ecc...), either free or not. I only want quality.
Thanks a lot for your help, from the bottom of my heart; i have the creativity, the knowledge and great ideas, i only need to learn those skills i mentioned.
Note 01: When i was talking about shape layers transformations i was referring to stuff like the liquid drops in this video (I can exercise with the timing ecc... by my own. i'm only interested in the technique) https://vimeo.com/102098802
Note 02: I speak english fluently and i even prefer using it over my native language, so english/american content is 100% fine :)
