how to make a 2D popcorn animation

I need to do a 2D pop-corn animation and I'm wondering how to make it with good dynamics : In the example attached I did it frame per frame. It took me long of course. There are maybe some easier methods with Newton or C4D ? I tried some stuff with C4D (I'm quite new on it) and newton but didn't have good results.
What do you think guys?

Both Newton and C4D will give you good results, you just have to learn to use them. They both require a bit of learning and practice - not from random YouTube videos either. Too many of them are newbies themselves teaching bad practices. Find videos from professionals who know what they're talking about and that should help.
