John DefilippoLooking for suggestions on making a "Light wall"

I need to make a wall of individual, rectangular "led-looking" lights. Ideally, i'd like to be able to have them individually change colors and brightness with whatever I end up syncing them too. What would anyone suggest to be the most efficient way to achieve this? Globally, I know I can use 'shine' or 'optical flares' to get cool shimmering and rays, but individually, I can't seem to wrap my head around an efficient way to color each rectangle. eg, imagine a grid of 30 boxes. in one 'scene', some are red, white, some are lit and some are off. The next scene, all different. In essence, truly acting like an LED light wall.

I'm truly appreciative of any and all suggestions!!
Thank you very much!
