Hey all,

I have trawled the net but can't find a tutorial on creating a simple 2D pong game animation in After Effects.

Other than key framing every movement of the ball and the two bats, the only method that I can think of is to parent the vertical movement of one of the bats to the ball, but it would still need to move randomly a bit otherwise it would look very 'locked' onto the ball (and then I'd still have to deal with the second bat!).

Does anyone know a tutorial for this or have a better way of approaching this animation?

You can add a wiggle expression to a parented layer to give it randomness.
