Taking AE file into Final Cut Pro
by Dani Sana on Nov 28, 2011 at 2:08:36 am
Hi there, I have created an animated signature using After Effects and was wondering how I can now bring it into my project in Final Cut Pro? If this is not possible, what is the best way to get my animated signature into my FCP video? Thank you!!

If you have transparency in your animation, you should render using the "Lossless with Alpha" output module, or modify if to render to ProRes 4444 with alpha. Using transparency will let you composite in FCP, but will require a render in FCP.
If you do not have transparency in your animation, you can render with the "Lossless" output module, or modify it to render to ProRes. If AE's comp and output module settings match FCP's sequence settings exactly, you will not need to re-render in FCP.
