Hi there,

I've been seeing a lot of music videos that are themed around animating artwork from PNG files (I'm assuming) and then adding particles etc on top to give the world around the static pictures a little more life.

My question is; how, when the camera moves close to these images, do they not pixelate? I know you can add a blur to them, but it seems like there's something else going on that I'm missing......

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Jack

[Jack Sewell] "[why], when the camera moves close to these images, do they not pixelate?"

They are EXTREMELY high-resolution images. You can also increase the the resolution slightly with software like Instant HD, from Red Giant Software.

Note that I said SLIGHTLY. It doesn't work miracles.

There's no set answer. It depends entirely on how close you need to get. You don't want to go too much past a correspondence of 1 still pixel to 1 video pixel.
