I got this weird problem when replacing a missing file in my project panel. When I right click on the missing file (ex. Image1.jpg) and go to Replace Footage > File and browse for that file on my computer, instead of replacing with the exact file (image1.jpg) it becomes a sequence image (see pic). I have images on the same directory of the main file. I think that's the culprit, but I don't want to move it to other directory.

How can I avoid this sequencing images? Thanks experts!!

Well, you could move the other pics out of the folder, replace the file, then move the pics back into the folder.

You can uncheck the JPG sequence option when you're picking the new file.

I just signed up to say - thanks very much for that, something so small I was completely missing.

Things like that are so simple once you know them, but so frustrating if you don't. :)
