Is there a way to have the comp time extend to the amount of footage/material cut into it? I know I can use the Comp settings menu to type in a time, but is there a way to have the comp extend automatically based on the material I put into it? So if I have a comp set up at 10 seconds and want to add 5 more seconds of background and video to it, can I only extend the time via the settings menu or is there a pref that will do that automatically based on the amount of material added? Thanks in advance.

This isn't automatic but it's fast, accurate and it works:

Highlight the footage in the timeline. Hit the letter o key to go to the layer's out point. The timeline cursor goes past the end of the comp. Note the time displayed in the upper left of the comp.

Now open the comp settings. Enter the noted time plus one frame, or copy-paste the noted time and add one frame.

Your comp is now as long as the footage. This only works if haven't trimmed the footage's out point in the comp.
