I need some advice on creating announcements for my church that I look very professional and does not look like a PowerPoint presentation. I have created some video using Premiere Pro and After Effects using basic text.
Here is what I produced.

suggestions?

Not bad for a church. My recommendation: tighten up the scriptwriting. I bet you could could cut an entire minute out it with no loss of content.

Thanks for the comment! I'm dealing with a church that wants the Mega church look with a store front budget.

For me the issue is a graphic design challenge. You have a very strict visual hierarchy, and that's because that particular communication content is very precise. With that in mind, I would thumbnail-sketch different layouts--different ways to present the graphic design. I think of it like this:

-- Headline
-- Subheadline
-- Hero Image
-- Detail Images
-- Copy/text
-- Background image

Google search "graphic design" and you'll see a huge amount of inspiring stuff.

You are off to a good start.

My suggestions;
Vary the placement of text and images. Different layout for each announcement. That way there is a visual change signaling the viewer that a new announcement has come up.

Use a different font for each announcement. Use variations of that font within the announcement.

Look at TV commercials and online ads for ideas of design and layout.

Have at least two different people for your voice overs, preferable one male and one female. Use a young person to voice the youth announcements.

Have fun!

Joe
