Hi everybody. I've been trying to render a 6 minute video out of after effects cs4 as a quicktime movie with the h.264 codec but it consistently failes at the 5.19 mark of the video. I've reviewed the comp multiple times and absolutely nothing changes at that moment, and I can't figure out why it keeps failing. The full video itself should only be about 2 gigs at most, and I have plenty of space on my computer. I tried exporting through adobe media encoder and not only did it take about five hours to render, but it also crashed at the same mark, with the message "encoding failed, unknown error."
Can't say why it's crashing, but have you thought of exporting a TIF or PNG sequence. Then if it crashes, you can just pick up where it crashed, render out trouble frame, then continue. Than re-render with audio.
