Closing CS6 with Render Que running/paused
by Alex Bryant on Oct 24, 2013 at 1:47:15 am
I have a small issue. I'm sure it's a dumb question, but can I close AE CS6 while an object is paused in the render que and come back to it later? My current render (due to my amateur status with AE, I didn't precomp much) is estimated at 49 hours. I need to be able to pause that, shut down the laptop, and come back to it. Is that possible?

It's not possible. If you need to start/stop rendering, I suggest you render to an image sequence file(TIF Sequence). That way if you stop, you can look at your files(they are tagged with a frame number) and pick up from there.
