I'm animating multiple masks. I can:
get a specific mask node to be selected,
see the handles
it's not locked,

But the cursor never manipulates either the node OR its handles. Nor can I grab an 'edge' (not quite sure one can do that in AE, you can in PShop).

Everything looks good selection-wise, but the cursor just never grabs the mask node or mask node handles. The cursor becomes a WHITE triangle with a small rectangular label (unfortunately, cursors are not grabbed in a W7 screen-grab).

From the comp window, highlight the mask in question.
Using the normal AE arrow cursor (keyboard shortcut "v"), lasso the desired mask vertex or vertices.
Shift-click to select/deselect vertices.
Move them vertices and adjust Bezier handles to your heart's content.

Personally, I find this stuff easier to do in the layer window, and you can set up two viewers and use the ol' ETLAT (Edit This Look At That) trick to see the effect of your mask manipulations.
