Working with screen recordings.....?

I'm trying to create effects and spice up some screen recordings for a demo.

Specifically I'm trying to do things like this: http://vimeo.com/40558075

How do they do this? I know some people will actually create the graphics from scratch. I don't have that amount of time. Whats the best way to get results like this? Any tutorials? You can almost see a grid on the screen too, whats that from?

I've been using screenflo and then just edit it with the 3d perspective filter in FCP. Does a decent job but I feel that video really zoomed in some times and everything still felt sharp.

Using Print Screen may help you a little.
This will save your time. Pressing " Cmnd + Plus/Minus Keys " will zoom in out out respectively the browser window which will give you a better resolution image elements though they will pixelate
a little if you zoom a lot.

Here is the link on how on to use print screen :

After importing the elements in Ae, turn your layers 3D and animate them as required.
For the typing effect, there is a Preset in AE " Typewriter " which you can use.

For using AE Camera have a look at this:

A lot of the screen capture software will record a bigger file if you have a bigger screen for it to record. So you can then zoom in in AE.
