Is there a way to simulate a back rim light when lighting a character? I have a figure green-screened into a background and can use a spot to adjust front lighting, but was wondering if there is a way to add a kicker. I have tried placing a spot behind the character, but as it is only 2-D, there is no surface for the light to hit.
Check out this Light Wrap tutorial by Andrew Davis. You should be able to modify his technique to create your rim light.
