Hello,

I'm about to start an animation (no footage) project where the output needs to be both NTSC and PAL. Is it better to build in NTSC and drop frames when rendering to convert to PAL or the other way? I would assume its better to drop frames but would this lead to a juddery animation?

Found a similar topic here but the answer wasn't clear

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks
Mel

Unless your comp contains ABSOLUTELY NO footage with a frame rate such as video, image sequences or film scans, don't do it. You would only be making trouble for yourself.

Perhaps you can discuss the nature of this animation, and delivery specifications beyond mere PAL & NTSC. Things like H&V resolution, for example. The advice will get better.
