I have a vector file that I would like to deform along a path..
How can I do that?

I'm not following this "deform along a path" business. It sounds like you've made a mask on a layer, and now you want to curve/bend/fold the vector layer to conform to the shape of the mask.
I guess you might be able to do it in Freeform, which comes bundled with AE.

Think of it more like a rollercoaster..
I have a vector logo that I want to travel and deform/bend along the path as it curves and spirals..
The logo is the coaster and the path is the tracks..
In 3dsMax there is a "path constraint" for exactly this..
Is this what Freeform does?

Freeform CAN do it, but I suspect that if you know 3DSMax, it would be a lot easier to use it instead.
