Hey there,

So I know this may seem like a very beginner question....but I'm trying to make a fairly realistic looking record spin continuously. I've made a record in Photoshop and vector images of a record in Illustrator but when I go to add rotation to the record in After Effects it has a weird oval shape and doesn't look good at all. I've even tried to separate my vector layers in Illustrator and then arrange them in 3d space in After Effects but it just doesn't look right. Any suggestions?

Make sure everything is done in SQUARE PIXELS. A Pixel Aspect Ratio of 1. You may have to re-work the Illustrator or Photoshop files to accomplish this.

Once in AE, you're good to work in a comp of any pixel aspect ratio. AE's good about this.
