Hello all.

I don't know how to ask this but this may be a dumb question.
I have been working with green screen effetcs with AE. My qestion is
how do I keep the green screen footage (charachter) in the same spot
as the background if the background camera video moves a bit ?

So example some one records a car driving down the street with a video pan. If I decided to put a fan watching the car go by, how do I keep the fan in the same spot on the background before and after the camera move. I tried motion tracking a spot on the background but that didn't work well.

Like I said, this is probably a dumb question.

How to do it depends very much on what the footage looks like for both parts.

Motion tracking is probably the key, but you may have been going about it the wrong way. Read up more about motion tracking: [link]
