stereoscope production with after

i am talking to some client who want to produce a movie. i can do the job but the problem is that he wants some of the movie to be made stereoscope. i have no clue about how to produce some thing like that. can anyone give me please the basic facts about the production process? is it easy to make ? how labor intensive is it?

I'm not going to sugar-coat this at all, it's not easy to pull off and it can be very labor and computer processing intensive(everything is doubled). Couple of links that go explain it in much greater detail.
