I've even done this before, but just can't figure it today....

I have a layer (LAYER 2) parented to a null. The null is parented to another layer (LAYER 2) which rotates.

I want layer 2 to orbit the circle, but remain horizontal (ie if it had words on it, I'd want them to remain the right way up for the reader all the way round it's orbit.

I've searched round, and I know the answer is there. I'd be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction, or help me out.
thanks

Have you tried auto-orienting them to the camera?

Hi Michael,

I just found the solution: I don't usually code expressions, and the one I found, which now works, I was entering incorrectly -

this goes in the rotation property of the moving item that is parented to a null, which in turn is set up to rotate:

-thisComp.layer("rotation null").transform.rotation

thanks for the response though - it is appreciated
