Stroke around a mask

Stroke around a mask

Hi ya,

have a white solid

then make a mask shape

then want to put a black stroke along the mask shape but cant figure it out.

Please advise

hey, use the STROKE effect, set it to use the mask/path or to ALL MASKs - play with the settings, have fun.

The Stroke effect is a rasterized effect - it will pixelate if you zoom into the layer. For such effects, it is better to use a Shape Layer, which is in vector format. Each Shape Layer automatically comes with separate Fill and Stroke parameters.
