Hi,

Im having the problem that as soon as I change a setting (for example the transparency of a layer) the stop watch (the thing that adds keypoints whenever you change the value) automatically turns on. This is really annoying, how can I switch it off?

Thanks for your help!

In AE help, I searched for Auto Keyframe and got these results: [link] I think you'll find they answer your question quite well.

You may have been burned by other programs (even Adobe) in the past, but the help documentation for Adobe products now - especially After Effects - is great. Not only does searching in them often produce a useful answer, but there are also lots of links throughout the help pages to great tutorials and resources elsewhere on the web.
