I created a Qt from a ps animation, the animation is in the shape of a cloud, with characters dancing around in it. When I import into QT I have a cloud in a a black rectangle. what is the best way of omitting the black?

Why go through a QuickTime movie? Why not just bring the PSD file directly into After Effects?

I thought it would be a smaller file than a 62 layer animation! The original was a qt vid that I extracted a portion of, duplicated, then reversed 1 copy in ps and combined so that it would show an even flow. The ps file is 52mbs at 1280x720 whereas the qt was762kb.

As we know in ps, all one has to do is apple click on the layer and inverse delete, I was hoping there would be something similar in AE.
