Moving text across the screen - doesn't look good in FCP
on Sep 20, 2011 at 4:44:34 am

I've built a sequence with words moving across a black background. Pretty basic. Maybe I'm moving them too fast, or rendering incorrectly, but the movie doesn't look good when I bring it into Final Cut, or when I export the entire FCP sequence out to a QT movie. The letters look jagged....

Is this simply that I need to watch it on a TV monitor?
Are there any tricks to make text look better. Things to watch out for?

Thanks!

That's where I'd start for sure! You can't trust those pea-shooter FCP viewers. If it's still bad, give us details on the footage and frame rate, otherwise we'll have to use crystal balls to figure out the problem... and that's never good.
