Morning all,

I have a macpro and I am looking to create an audience song participation effect i.e. the effect is something like one might hear at a football game where the crowd joins in and sings "we are the champions". So far I have two copies of the song one is playing 1/2 a second behind the other, my problem is, I need to get rid of the music on the latter of the two, I am thinking this will give me the vocal crowd sound that I am looking for.

Also, I am open to suggestions, if you can think of another way to achieve this goal.

Tks Gary

Got Final Cut Pro or another video editing application? Do the tricky editing there.

Don't do it in AE -- it stinks when it comes to editing.

I never futzed with Garage Band. If you can reliably see synced audio & video in it, I guess it would be okay. But it you're trying to sync an audio track to video, nothing beats a video editing application.

I haven't futzed with it either mate, but, I totally agree with you and am only looking for an audi mixing process then, drag it back into AE and sync it with my animation.

If I were you, I'd get the audio & video sync right. and THEN work on the animation. I think it would be much easier.

Actually Dave, I totally agree, I did the audio (single track) along with the animation, I am now trying to find an audio program that I can delete/minimize the instrumental and, maximize on the vocals. I would then multiply the vocals and run them 1/2 second behind the original track or, maybe run two sets of vocals at micro different time spreads depending on how it sounds.

Tks mate

Are you saying you want to edit audio?
Don't try to do it in AE. Try an audio editing application.
