CS5 Weird Dropped Frames

I'm attempting to render some footage in CS5, but occasional frames are giving me some grief and popping up looking like the attached image. Could anyone enlighten me as to why this is happening? It's 1280x720, 59.94 FPS footage encoded with huffyuv (footage sent to us by the publisher, not encoded ourselves). Please let me know if there's anything you need to know that would help.

If you use the Adobe Media Encoder to transcode them to a different format (such as Quicktime with the PNG codec), does it work better?
