I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I think I might be experiencing either rendering problems or video setting problems, I'm really not sure. Basically, my country uses NTSC so I set my camera settings to NTSC 1920x1080 24fps. In after effects, I drag my footage to the timeline, modify it then render it without changing any of its settings. But the final output won't play properly. It hangs!
I tried changing the footage's fps but it still won't work. I don't want to lose the 1920x1080 size of the clip.
What am I doing wrong?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

In addition to Michael's advice, you need to remember this: in NTSC countries, the film frame rate is not 24 fps. It is 23.976 fps. Sometimes it is called 23.98 by camera makers and makers of editing software.
