adjust length(time) of multiple, staggered layers together...

Sorry for the bad description, I can't seem to find the word I need to use, BUT...

I have a whole bunch of layers, stacked and staggered in a slide-show, basically. I want to say, take 10 or more layers, and stretch out their time equally, as if I were stretching them as a precomp... ie - NOT just selecting 10 layers and stretching them out to where they over lap, but stretching them as if they were one unit...

Thanks all, sorry for the ignorance...
Aza

Hi there,

Select all the layers in the Timeline. Hover over the end of one of them till you see the Trim tool. Click and drag the edge of the layer and all the others will follow.
Hope this helps :-)

cheers,

Angie

Thanks for the reply Angie...

I wish I could describe this better.... I already know about that, and now that I'm thinking about it, After Effects itself may not be able to do what I'm asking without a script, or expression.

I am trying to stretch the clips as if they were one unit, not a bunch of separate layers who's out points are just dragged out. Say I had 3 clips staggered so the next one's in-point was at the out-point of the previous clip. I want to try to grab the endpoint of the 3rd clip, drag it out to stretch the time, but have the in points move with the outpoints, and all three stretch equally.
