A question on animating a camera via a null object
on Mar 12, 2011 at 1:06:18 pm

What is the difference between applying the "separate XYZ position" preset to a null object (where the camera is parented to the null object), and creating three null objects assigning to each an x rotation, a y rotation, and a z rotation to each null object??? (I am aware that in what order they are parented to one another affects how they work)

In short i have watched the creativecow videos on how to animate cameras and wandering whats the difference between doing what he does in the videos and using the preset??

Hi Dominic,

The "separate XYZ position" preset will affect the position values.

Creating three null objects and assigning to each an x rotation, y rotation, and z rotation will affect the Rotation values.

Hope this helps.

cheers,

Angie
