Jason BoschQuestion on an animation

I am trying to work on an animation where text is written into a search box. I don't have an issue with the text animation, but the search box is giving me a problem. I wasn't sure the best way to go about making it. A screen shot doesn't look good because of the low resolution, so should I re-build it?

The google year in review video is exactly what I am trying to go for:

How do you think they went about doing it?
Thanks a lot for any help.

[Jason Bosch] " should I re-build it?"

Yup. If a simple screen grab of the web site in question won't cut it for you in terms of resolution, it's always best to build your own.

An easy way to do this is to create a Shape Layer the shape you want and then apply the Bevel and Emboss Layer Style to the Shape Layer, changing the Direction setting to Down should give you the effect you're after, then just tweak to taste!

Hope this helps!
