I want to do a film -projector- burn transition using stock footage, where the centre of the burn reveals the back ground (it's a solid) beneath it. What are the steps around ensuring the vividness of the burn and altering the footage as if it were being warped? I tried the inbuilt 'CC film burn' in after effects with some other additions and it just isn't as good as the real thing!

Anyhelp would be gurt.

You might start by look at the film burn preview clips on Artbeats to identify and categorize what happens during a film burn. That would be a REALLY good thing to do, so you know what steps to take after that.
