Precomp Audio won't play/render
by aske nielsen on Dec 27, 2010 at 10:10:16 am
I'm adding speak to a existing video, and because of the way i structured it, it's only feasible to put the audio in the precomp where my footage is to get the timing right. But when i render my main comp, the speak from the precomps don't play.
There's a soundtrack playing in the main comp, and that's rendering fine, and when i go into the precomps and make a RAM preview, the speak plays fine. But whenever i render it all out, i can only hear the audio from the Main comp (the one with the soundtrack and all the precomps with the speak in 'em).

I can think of two things:
1) You disabled the precomp audio by turning off its audio switch: its icon looks like a little speaker.
2) You're using compress audio: mp3, ac3, etc. You can't use compressed audio in AE properly. You need to convert it to sav or aiff files first.
