Using Ai CS5 and AE CS4 on a mac. When I imported my artwork as composition cropped layers into AE CS4 some of the artwork has a white outline around it. I checked the Ai files and there is not a white outline then, only when imported into AE.

Anyone know why this happens and how I can fix it?

Thanks!

t sounds like your Illustrator document has a bitmapped layer in it which an Alpha Channel premultiplied with white.

You can mix vector and bitmap in Illustrator, y'know. Just don't expect that Illustrator will somehow magically turn Bitmapped layers into vector layers; it can't.

If you just have Ae guess the alpha channel, life should become good again. Just don't scale that layer up beyond 100%.
