Locking Anchor Point

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to move a text layer in Z space; and have set the anchor point to a null object (through an expression) so the text spins around that object which is static in the center of the comp. The problem is, when the text moves, the anchor point moves in relation to the text.

How can i set the anchor point and lock it in position regardles of the position of the text?

I've tried few other methods but i've had no luck.

You don't have to use an expression to do this -- you can simply parent the text layer to the null.

But before you go doing that, make sure your text layer's anchor point is where you want it: just use the appropriate rotation to see if it behaves the way you want. Copy the null's position and paste it into the text layer's position. NOW you can parent the text to the null.

While it's parented, move the text layer to the position you want. Now when you rotate the null, happiness ensues.
