Hello, I am pretty new to After Effects. I am using CS5.

I have an animation project that involves lip syncing the audio to a characters mouth movements.

I am running into a frustrating problem where by when i preview the audio fully zoomed out and then mark positions on the time-line for closer work, when i zoom in to the time line the audio is not at the same position it was when i was further zoomed out. Also when i move the time-line back and forth the audio moves position relative to the other frames.

I'm sure i must have some setting incorrect but i cant figure out what it is my audio is in aiff format. I have two other compositions in the library for the project which i managed to sync fine it just seems to be this one that is causing a problem.

thanks for your help

Do you have the recent update to AE 10.0.1, which fixed a ton of things, including weird behavior when using AIFF files?
