Hi guys can you please tell me if there is a way that I can split my videos in half in after effects cs4?
example: adding a clip then cut in half, then adding another one and doin the same in windows movie maker?
I'd really appreciate it!

Not exactly sure what you're after....

If you want to split the VIDEO of two clips -- for example, the top half of one clip, bottom half of another, both on the screen at the same time -- just use the appropriate MASK:

If you want to split the clip in the timeline -- for example, you want to turn a 6-second clip into two 3-second clips at the 3-second mark -- go to 3 seconds in the timeline, highlight the clip, and use the Split Clip command: Command-Shift-d (Mac). I guess it's Ctl-Shift-d for windows.

Few ways. You can adjust the time by going to where you want the clip to end and on a PC press "Alt + ]". Or to perform an actual split "cntl+ shift + D" will split a layer, putting everything after the CTI on a new layer.

Sounds like you should you look at some basic training stuff:
