Hello

I have some nested comps. Comp2 is inside Comp1 (main). The content of Comp2 are few objects, in the middle of a rather huge comp area (X/Y pixel dimensions).

Is there a way (with a shortcut perhaps) to shrink the comp size area, so it is as small as possible but exactly big enough to contain those objects? I know I can do it by manually by adjusting the Comp Settings and shrink down the Width and Height, until the Comp2 is of a decent size, but is there an easier way to do this? Maybe cropping the area, by cutting everything out, outside of the selection that i make (around the objects inside)?

This concerns me, because in the Comp1, the selection area of Comp2 is huge, and if I have several others objects, it is really hard to chose them by clicking on them in the work area.

Thanks in advance

Read up on using the Work Area:

And then use the Trim Comp To Work Area command. To avoid those Homer Simpson "Doh!" moments, do this on a duplicated comp.

I know that feature and that is not what I meant. I meant cropping the X/Y dimensions of a comp in the Work Area itself and not the Timeline.

Oh, my mistake. Sorry. In that case, you have to change the comp settings.

You are wrong. After some further searching, I found this:

1) Region of Interrest (select a square around the objects)
2) Composition > Crop Comp to Region of Interrest
3) Done :)
