Hello everyone :)
I've been learning to use Illustrator lately, and now I want to make some animation clips. I've been thinking After Effects is a good tool for that, since it would communicate well with Illustrate. However, is it too heavy for someone who wants to make relatively simple animations? Would you advise me to start with Flash, is it more friendly?
Thanks in advance,

AE has more intuitive animations controls... but its much deeper.

Take a look at a mixed approach to learning.

Combine AE Apprentice book with podcasts on the Cow and other tutorials.
