masking out the out of frame edges of footage

I recently shot some footage of a skateboarder against a white backdrop that was 12 feet wide. I need to manipulate the composition in such a way to hide the extra 3 feet on each side of the backdrop so the skater appears to enter and leave the frame against a white backdrop. I want to stay full frame so i can get a full body shot, so I cant zoom the shot in. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated thank you much!

I don't know if I'm following you.
Do you mean you shot this background so you could see off it on either side, about three feet? And as the guy goes through the shot, you want to invent some more white background for those edges to put behind the guy?
Do you mean you only see the white background, but the guy didn't go through the shot from side-to-side as you wanted, so you need to move the picture from side to side to make it look like the guy enters on one side of the shot and exits on the other?
Do you mean something else?
