Hello, im new to after effects, so please write understandable answers to me :)
I am having a problem with After effects, im trying to add some cool lightning and glow to an explosion, i am using the tutorial from video co-pilot where he leanrs you to create and explosion in a city : and my problem is happening at 09.49 (If this info helps you!)
But, when im trying to add glow after i have puttet in a adjustment layer and done a circle around the explosion, then when i press stylize -> glow the explosion is just getting a ring of a very strong white colour, and i can't get it looking nice...
If u did understand that, i hope someone then can help me :)

The glow effect can make very light parts of an image 'blow out' (get so light they're just a patch of white).
You need to turn the glow down. You can do this by making the intensity lower, or the threshold higher.

The default settings of 1.0 and 60% and pretty extreme for most cases. Try starting with 0.1 and 90% and tweak it from there.
