Hi, hopefully this isn't too stupid a question, I'm a bit of a beginner to video editing.

I want to apply a custom uniform distortion to every frame of a video in order to compensate for a projection image coming off a warped/bulging mirror. The ideal would be to define the shift on the points on an overlaid grid (at least 6x6) and have it smooth and interpolate the rest.

Does that make any sense?

Don't need a step by step guide, at the very least the proper terminology for what I'm looking for would be a big help.

Does the Optics Compensation effect do what you want? It was created to add or remove camera lens distortion, but it could also be used to compensate for projector lens/mirror distortion. I haven't tried it, but it seems that it should work.
