I have a report containing MANY numbers, which I want to animate into question marks.

will turn into this:

I couldn't find a preset that did exactly that, so I thought if I use source text is there a way to add a slider to it, so I don't have to add a million keyframes?

I'm checking too see if I can alter the preset called question, (animation presets> text> miscellaneous> question) where I see that they've put in a range selector on character value, where 63 is the value for the question mark.

Perhaps there's a way to use this, but I don't want all the letters or the !"#¤(%=# symbols, just numbers and questions marks.

Here is an expression I use if I need numbers counting up and down:
On the last line you'll see there are a few quotes and numbers in parenthesis.
Anything inside the quotes will never change. The numbers in the parenthesis are their coordinates. Hope this helps!

startValue = 64122205;
endValue = 85302264;
dur = 30; //seconds

s = "" + Math.round(linear(time,0,dur,startValue,endValue));
"$" + s.substr(0,2) + "," + s.substr(2,3) + "," + s.substr(5,3)
