Just wondering if anyone knows of a simple(r) way (potentially a script or a work-around) to change all instances of one color to another color within a project without having to do it manually or link up everything to color controllers. Haven't had much luck with Change to Color. Working with a flat-style motion graphic video (all solid, no gradients) that I'd like to make as customizable as possible; didn't know when I created it that the boss would want this option available and finding it harder to make colors editable after the fact. I would really prefer not to have to go back in and link up color controllers to every asset! Any help is appreciated!

I had taken a look at this script but haven't tried it out yet. My main issue with it is that it links the layer color to the controller; I have shape layers with multiple shapes of multiple colors grouped inside them, so I'm not sure if this script will work for those instances, but it's a start. I'll have to try it out and see. Thanks!

Maybe using the Fill or Tint effects would help out - then you can change the color when you need to. Although if you have lots of shapes with multiple colors, you would probably need to break the colors out into discreet layers, maybe more trouble than it's worth. Another thought would be to use a Layer Style and blending options:
