Mocha import/export. Is sequential files is the only way to go for flawless import?

I realized that when I imported QT movies inside Mocha, they messed up with color space. After few experiments, I realized that converting my movie to DPX or TIFF sequences, was the only way to go if I wanted to keep my colors and quality intact when exporting back into a container. Otherwise some colors will be off from the originals when replacing the one from editors like AE or Premiere.
So is there's no way to import the QT .MOV files into mocha without having the application harming the colorspace? I don't understand why Mocha won't keep the colors from the original MOV at least when you import it.
Is there something I miss, a special settings?
Converting every time seems like a task that I could skip.
