I'm encountering a bit of confusion when I load and then try to save a project after adding some work to it. When I load a project, say Emu.aep, the project loads correctly and is identified in the project window as "Emu.aep", but when I go to save or do an incremental save I'm prompted to "save as 'unamed project". Saving this way seems to end up nesting projects within projects. The only way I seem to be able to open a project and have AE recognize it is to bring it in from the "recently saved" list.

Am I missing something, or is this the way it works?

What version of AE are you using? You wouldn't think it would make one bit of difference, but it does! Welcome to the Brave New World of Adobe. Fun, isn't it?

How exactly are you trying to open your project? It sounds like you are not opening your previously-saved AEP file, but rather importing it into a blank project.
