After effects menu for Encore
on Mar 18, 2016 at 2:06:51 am

Hi there creative cow folk.

I want to create an intro to a dvd menu in encore. I haven't used Encore for a long time and I currently dont have it so I'll be doing the after effects work for someone and then giving them the finished file to compile in Encore.

I want the end of the animation to reveal the DVD menu. Is this possible in Adobe Encore. Like can you use chroma key or an alpha channel or something to have transparent pixels in the videos first play. I guess a rogue way of doing it could be to have the last frame of the intro video a copy of the PSD that is making up the DVD menu?

Any help much appreciated
Thanks!

That would be the correct (and only) way to do it for a DVD. The DVD spec does not allow any sort of alpha like you want to do.

Blu-ray is a somewhat different story.
